Immemorial Forest
There is something mythical to forests: they symbolize life's origins, home to our
deepest fears and most profound hopes, to reassuring and more disturbing creatures inherited from pagan traditions.
Man ceased to listen to these guardians of the origins. The forest has become a raw material, reduced to paper pulp, to packaging, enslaved to our new emergencies of non-essential e-deliveries.
With Immemorial Forest, Fab Rideti invites us to think twice about our consumerist frenzy using her usual combination of art with a twist of humor and poetry. She brings mythical beings back into the forest, dressed in recycled carton: elves, driads, fauna or centaurs…
Through their recovered cardboard costumes, Immemorial Forest characters claim back their forest and our inner life with it.
